CORN STARCH & SWEETENER

Miwon started the business of “Corn Starch and Sweetener” with the technology support from Daesang-Corporation. The factory is commercially operated in early 2017.

The factory is expected to provide demand of Corn Starch & Sweetener both for domestic and export markets. List of products that have been produced by this factory consist of:

Corn Starch

Starch is natural, high polymer energy source that is produced through the carbon dioxide assimilation of plant stored in the root, stem and grain in the shape of polymer. Miwon corn starch is produced by the physical separation and purification of embryo bud, corn hull and gluten through wet-milling process of corn.

High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS)

High Fructose Corn Syrup is a liquid sweetener suitable for carbonated beverages, dairy products as it gives out stronger sweetness in low temperatures with its refreshing sense that quickly disappeared in the mouth and cheaper than sucrose.

Glucose Syrup

Glucose syrup is made through the enzymatic hydrolysis of starch. A variety of products are being produced according to the level of hydrolysis and sugar constitution. It is the most commonly used traditional sweetener that has been used continuously from the past.

Dextrose Liquid

Dextrose liquid as a monosaccharide obtained through the hydrolysis of starch using enzymatic conversion. Dextrose has refreshing and soft sweet taste, and it is used as natural sweetener in foods.

Corn Gluten Meal (CGM)

Corn Gluten Meal (CGM) is a corn based by product of the corn milling process, serving as a source of protein, energy and pigment for animal feed. Miwon product CGM is derived by a precise process from the corn starch manufacturing factory. It offers a high-quality protein, containing over 60 percent crude protein

Corn Gluten Feed (CGF)

Corn Gluten Feed (CGF) is a by-product of the corn wet milling process. Usually, the CGF consists of maize bran and maize steep liquor, and contents of energy and protein in CGF are related to proportion of bran, corn steep liquor and other components. Compare to CGM, Miwon CGF is valuable energy and protein source for animal feed.

Corn Germ (CG)

Corn Germ (CG) is a by-product of the corn wet milling process. The CG is separated out from the corn grains, and it contains approximately 40% vegetable oil, which may become an important source for animal feeds. Miwon product CG is excellent energy source for poultry, ruminants, pigs and pets.
